New Kenwood head Units

Recently Kenwood has released X994 Unit. But more recently they have launched two more 1Din units the KIV -700 and KIV-BT900.

I request yourself to suggest which is a better head unit among these.

KIV-BT900 doesn't have a CD slot . But it has some additional features compared to x994 like
Video Output for Backseat Monitor
iPod/iPhone Video ( not while moving ) and Audio Playback
Ripping from USB to Internal Memory (512MB)
MPEG/WMV/H.264 Video Playback through USB
JPEG/BMP Picture Displayed on Screen through USB

X994 has CD Slot but doesn't have internal memory or video playback option

Does the KIVBT900 has A2DP profile for bluetooth.
What about the sound quality / specs difference between KIV700/BT900 and X994.

The only difference between KIv700 and KIVBT900 is blue tooth else they are just the same.

The KDC-X8016BT is Australia-specific. Looks the same as the X994, and even the specs look the same - albeit with a slightly different language like "Theft-deterrent front plate" for the 8016 v/s "Flip-down detachable front plate" for the X994.

Though the Kenwood website does not mention A2DP profile explicitly for the KIV-BT900, the manual (pdf on the website) mentions music playback from the Bluetooth source.

Why in heavens is the KIV-BT900 costlier than even the KDC-X994?

Well the KDC-X994 display is not that nice whereas KIV-BT900 has a nice display with album art display too. Not only this you get to play videos in Bt-900 too. Also for A2DP in Bt900 you have to buy additional accessory.

Also to me X994 and 8016Bt seems to be the same sans the sticker's for Excelon and HD radio

There is an advt.supplement with ACI magazine ( June issue ). It shows the entire Kenwood car audio range like H.U. s, Speakers, Subs etc.
The KIV-700 is a digital media player ( doesn't play Cds ) , the 8106 bt is bluetooth enabled while the 7016 is without bluetooth.
These two new CD players have a new type of search facility which makes the search fast and more convenient.
I would appreciate more details about the new Kenwood players, from fellow BHPians.

Congrats buddy!
Do post a more detailed review if possible.
I believe 8016BT comes with all the bluetooth features one could as for. Is there any model available in India which is 8016BT minus the bluetooth? (X794's Indian release I mean)

Thanks!

I thought that you dont need an extra wire for Ipod connection with this HU 8016, but on indian website it says that you need extra cable ( KCA-iP101).
Wont it work with the Ipod cable if you dont buy KCA-iP101?

The new Kenwoods can connect to iPods with the original dock connector cable that comes with the iPods. The Kenwood cable is "just so that you can keep your original cable at home" as it says somewhere on the Kenwood site.
