Confused abt buying a 4 channel AMP.

Guys,

Need help in buying a 4 channel amp for my car(esteem) audio setup. I want the amp to power a pair of Infinity Reference 5010cs comps in the front and Lightning Audio Bolt 6x9s at the rear. Both these speakers are 75W RMS and 225W Peak. I have shortlisted Sony 504Z(VFM)/JBL CS 50.4

The Blaupunkt GTA470(70W p.channel) is also in my mind but its bit outta budget . My budget is around 6K.

Also i got an offer for an used Pioneer GM-X564 from my friend. Is this a good amp? Its pretty old model i think. This one has got almost equal specs at 50W RMS per channel.

Please guide me....

Regards,
Dmitri

Note: My HU is Pioneer 5750.

well if u got to make a choice between the sony 504 and the cs 50.4 i would say stick to the JBL its too far better than the 504 to be compared to..but goodness heavens where will u get a cs 50.4 for 6k..the mrp is 9.5k..unless its grey..sam ab amps also in grey????
i would also suggest u look into the alpine MRP-F240 at around 7k is the best u can lay ur hands on..and stay away from the pioneer amp lol !!! its prone to give problems at a later stage as its already too old..

Amplifiers within 7k budget in gray are, Blaupunk gta 470, JBL cs 50.4, Pioneer 6100F, Sony 504Z, Sony SD14x (50w RMS per channel)....
Of the above listed amplifiers I would say Sony 504 is the cheapest. Based on your budget and availability you would have to choose between the ones listed above! Each one has its pros and cons.

I use a Blau Velocity 504 (bridged) to power my 5010cs. I would consider the 470 as a good alternate failing that the 50.4, 6100 or alpine 240. all are above 6K but worth the difference. The blau gives you a bit more power (about 2db more) than the others I have not heard the 50.4 or 6100 and going by my Alpine 340 vs Blau 450 notes I'd say the 240 may sound more refined than the 470 while the 470 will have more ***** and swing more volts.

I'd just like to add very quickly that there are many products out there CALLED JBL but quite fake.
I never recommend a gray product simply because you might end up with a NON-JBL product altogether. There are many instances of speakers and wiring kits that are fake.
Imitation may be flattery normally, here it is robbery. If you can judge an original well and dont care for warranty buy fronm gray. Otherwise I always recommend you buy with B & W.

Hey buddy forget abot the faltu amps or pioneers , sony, kickers and jbls all r **** worth for the money u spend on it CHINA KA MAAL......

If u have a good budget try installing a 1200watts full briefcased packed TWISTER (US make) 4channel amplifier with fancooled system

and the best + point u can attach 2 woofers and do the same settings on both the subwoofers with the bass control,sub-sonic control,x-overs,crossovers,gain-control and the best part is u get a REMOTE BASS CONTROL which will be fitted on ur dashboard like a regulator turn knob for increasing and decreasing bass.... dats not enough... its much more sleeaker and slim than nakamichi 4channel car amp and + it has both sides neon tubes

i stay in mumbai if u need it do tell me worth buying for the price u can run 4 1000"watts woofers on it bindass without tripping u can mail me at ramnik_matharoo@yahoo.com

well im no moderator here but such comments wont be tolerated here..if u want to degrade other brands so blatantly i request u do this elsewhere..here we respect all the brands and give advice based on ones necessities and budget and not look down upon brands like these..so pls do take care before u post such comments..and also read the announcement section once very carefully..what u migh think as utter rubbish might sound excellent to others and like we always say here its ur own ears that got to do the talking and deciding which brand is good because its your hard earned money that u end up spending..pls take care that u refrain from such comments and u can say it in a much more senile way..because ultimately if the customer is satisfied then we say dont care a world for what the others have to say..

Yes. Some particular brand might sound good to you but that does not mean you talk ill of other brands. We all love audio and are here to discuss that and not to sell stuff to anyone.

Dmitri,

I will recommend the following amplifiers under and around 10K in no specific order..

Kenwood KAC-8452

Pioneer 6100

Sony SD Series (4 Channel) sorry dun remember the model number.

If the budget is less than 5K then best option is Sony XM-504.
