Audi's Sound Concept cabin defines auditory excess: 62 speaker surround-sound !

All these have been wedged into the interior of a Q7 SUV in the interests of Wave Field Synthesis, minimizing a user's ability to hear specific speakers -- and blowing Audyssey's paltry 11-speaker DSX system right out of the water.

Now this is definied as overkill.

i highly doubt anyone will be able to sit in the car, with all speakers on with volume levels at even 14 on 40 range.

And this definitely defies logic and beauty as well, as it is going to be pretty strange to see so many speakers around the insides of the car

Guess this must be some new Guinness record for the most number of speakers in a car

Are there any pics of this ? Would be interesting to see how they managed to fit in so many speakers not mention the wiring, amplifiers etc.

Just how many batteries would be needed to drive this humongous system ? 5, 10 ??

And I won't be surprised if they double the price as compared to the current Q7 thanks to so many speakers ..

I guess the car passengers would be blown off by the sound rather than the engine performance. Nice way to save fuel, just put on the music system and car would zoom away

. BTW what would be the wattage of the music system. Time to buy a good quality pair of ear mufflers.
