My old Kenwood CD player developed some problem, where it would erratically switch off in the middle, or emit no sounds (beeps/audio). I gave it for repairs, but the repair guy told the chip that controls the power supply to the unit is blown and will have to be replaced. The quote was around 1,800/-
After waiting for about a week for the repairs, I finally despaired and got a JVC player (it was the cheapest one available). I still want to get the Kenwood repaired and use it maybe at home. The problem is the repair guy says the chip is no longer available. Can the unit be repaired at a reliable place in Mumbai? Is there any Kenwood service centre where it could be repaired?

I dont think the parts for this CD player will be available easily. I would ask
