I have searched in other menus too.
I installed 5.5 very long time back.Still Ipod Control Menu is not visible.
Today i'll try attach an iPod and check again.

The 'iPod control' option will be displayed only after connecting your iPod with Blue&Me. With ordinary USB pen drive, this option will not be displayed.

My Nokia 7210 Supernova shares an excellent feature in phonebook with my Linea's Blue&Me: when I pair the phone, my Linea's Blue&Me prompts back asking 'Do you want to copy phonebook?'. If I press the phone button on the steering wheel, the entire phonebook is copied from the phone to Blue&Me. And, any additions and/or deletions made in the contacts of the phone subsequently are automatically updated in Blue&Me's phonebook.

On the contrary, my Nokia N95 - a higher end version as compared to 7210 Supernova - does not have this feature. Even after successful pairing, I have to upload the contacts one-by-one to the phonebook of my Linea's Blue&Me. I should be prepared to hear as many beeps as the number of contacts in the phone! Also, any subsequent additions and deletions are not automatically updated in the phonebook of Blue&Me. I have to remember to manually upload the contact to Blue&Me. If I don't do that and if I receive a call from the new contact, mere number is displayed in the MID. So, today, I switched over to my old favourite Nokia 7210 Supernova after successful pairing!

I tried to do a version 5.5 update but get the message "CONFIGURATION ERROR" in the multi information display. Then I tried 5.6, the same error popped up.

I tried a 2 and 8 gig drive from different manufacturers. Same error. I have trouble pairing my old Sony Ericsson phone. It pairs but won't stay paired after a call comes in. After this, there is just no way I can re pair unless I reboot the phone. Works flawlessly with my mums Nokia. So it is a phone issue. I should still be be to update it though.

A Blue & Me software update 5.4 does exist but I believe the car is already running this as the instruction for version 5.4 update says the words prior to the update for media player are M.M.Player and this changes to Media Player when you call it up in the MID. So my car should take in 5.5 without a hitch but it is not.

When carrying out the update I did not follow the instruction to a T. Is it required to turn on the head unit? The instructions say so but I do not think it is required. I just turned on ignition to MAR position without starting the car to get the update started.

Just 10 mins back i updated B & Me to 5.6, at first instance got a error 10, then i tryed to 5.5 as per instruction at B&Me.net, it was updated & again to 5.6 it took 12mins to get successful message in MID.

Is it poosible to set FM as default instead of Madia player?

where did you download Version 5.6?

No luck for me.
Seems the download file is not valid. I tried multiple times.

Are you selected correct file options? are you tryed 5.5 first?

I've selected Linea instead. I installed Version 5.5 before 6 months,
I donno whether both the GP and Linea downloads are same or not.
Let me try with selecting GP.

The new version 5.6 displays an 8-digit number as SYS CODE in Settings>Advance Features>SYS CODE. I checked SYS CODE displayed in MID and the code cards. But this 8-digit number does not tally with the electronic/mechanical codes for the key and code for Blaupunkt music system. It's totally different and intriguing. Did anybody decode the SYS CODE?

Stop the media player before turning off HU by using voice command ("Stop Media") or via Steering controls.

I just noticed this as well after upgrading to ver 5.6. Anyone knows?

I posted in an iphone thread earlier. I am keen to buy an iphone but not able to figure out if it is fully compatible with Blue & Me. Somebody suggested that I need to buy a Windows Phone instead. Could somebody please guide if i phone will be able to read messages through Blue & Me? If not, will the androids like Samsung Galaxy and Motorola Defy do or I really need to buy a phone that runs on Windows OS?

I have Samsung galaxy s2. Though I can use Blue and Me to make phone calls and take the calls, I can't play the mp3 stored in my phone which can be heard in the car speakers? Other cars like I10 which comes with Blue&Me kind of feature has this option.

Do we need a software update for this?
