SUB for fiesta.

Hey there I have a Fiesta which already has the following ICE setup:
sony XMGTX 6042 amp powering my hertz ECX 690 rears and hertz ESK 570.
Fiesta stock HU(which i plan to change in a few months)
I have 2 questions.
1.Will the change in hu cause in increase in sound quality. I am planning on buying the sony basic HU with Aux-in.I am asking this because I have already installed the amp.
2.I am planning on buying a 12" sony or pio(basic) sub.I want a thumping bass.Is it enough if i install i 2-channel sony XMGTX 6022(any other options in same price range is welcome) or is it compulsory to install a mono amp(which would take atleast 5 months to collect that much cash) to have a thumping bass.My total budget for a sub+amp+wiring will be 10k.

Merely replacing the headunit with a basic sony HU will not improve the sound quality.

For a 10K budget, this is what you could do-
1. Add a basstube (jbl or blaupunkt, if it's still available) or a jbl sub in a sealed enclosure. This should cost you approx. 5000-6000 bucks. Bridge the rear 2 channels of your amp to power this basstube/ sub.
2. Power the rear speakers directly from the HU and the front comps from the front channels of the amp.
3. damp the front 2 doors, should cost you approx. 2000-3000 bucks.
4. Spend the remaining on decent wiring.

This should give you the thump you are looking for.

Hi Fiesta_21, Get a Infinity reference sub-woofer. Use two channels to power the front comps and bridge the rear two channels for the sub-woofer. The sub is 300 watts RMS and your amp will power them at 150 watts.

Yes, you will be under powering your sub, but you can add a mono or a powerful 2-channel later.

The sub will cost you 5.5K, sub box 1K. 4 gauge wiring kit and install an additional 5K.

If you are getting a HU please make sure you get a HU with 3 pre-outs.

Thanks for the information guys.
I am thinking of purchasing the Jbl HU having 3 preouts(Rs 5000)as soon as it is released.
Infinity or Jbl sub+box(rs6500)
how much will the 4 gauge wiring kit cost??
Installation can be done for free as he is a know dealer and I just purchased car accessories wroth rs90000 from him.

For wiring it should cost you around 2-3K.

As rest of the guys said, buy a Pio or JBL sub, and power it with 2chls from the amp and rest 2 chls goes to front comps. This should be good enough for you. Dont even think of buying a Mono, its just waste of money.

Thank you Nitinralli.Anyway I am going for this setup only after the release of the Jbl HU so that I can convince my father for this budget of 15K.The budget will be modified after analyzing my performance in the semester exams.
