Lets drive up the heat! Ice for the Polo!

Hullo. I should be getting the delivery of a hot new Red Polo trendline this week. Though I'll need some ice to cool it down a bit! I went to 'The Final Touch' in Juhu and this is what he has got planned for me.

Hu - Pioneer - around 6k
2 set components Auditor - 10K
JVC amp 4 ch. - 6K

Total around 22k inclusive of installation charges and the wiring etc.

Any comments on the setup? Feedback of any sort? Or replacement options? How would Rockford Fosgate Punch series P-1652S do as a Component replacement? Have not decided where to get the setup done for and no, have not got exactly which Auditor component set he is giving me!!

Ps. As you may notice by now, am a total noob when it comes to ice!
Most of the music I listen to is rock - Pink floyd , Linkin park Hinder and such!
Thank you already!!

Re: Lets drive up the heat! Ice for the Polo!

HU: Pioneer/Kenwood - around 6k
Comps: Morel Maximos/DLS C6A - 6.5k
Amp: Kenwood M845/JBL S644 - 5.5k
Sub: Blaupunkt/Bull Audio/Rockford Fosgate - 4k
Damping + Wiring + Install - 5k

For your taste, I'd say Morel Maximos with a Kenwood HU might sound better but trust your ears. Head over to Bass&Trouble or Ramie paaji for a professional install and tuning.

HU: Avoid Pioneer. Get the JBL X333.
For the Amplifier, May I suggest the Hertz HE4. Excellent SQ for the money.
Or the JBL GT5 S644 is super vfm as well.
Wiring: Scosche E400 for the above amps.

Am already in touch with B&T after all I hear about him from the forum. Had Pm'ed Pamie too, but he has not replied back yet. I'll stick with Ajit from this install if he does not get tired of all my questions first.

Noob querry - How important are the rear co-axs? I'll mainly be driving but adding a pair of reasonably cheap co-axs(2-3K) to the kind of systems mentioned above, will it make any positive contribution to the people in the back seat?

Re: Lets drive up the heat! Ice for the Polo!

Yes, a set of coaxials at the rear will not harm anyone. You can power them off the Head Unit.
Let's do this:
JBL 333: Rs. 4xxx
Auditor 4 Channel Amplifier: Rs. 5xxx
Good set of front components from Hertz or equivalent (ask B&T what he recommends in this price range. He always does come up with quite good options): Rs. 7-8 k
Subwoofer from JBL, Hertz, Polk etc in a sealed enclosure: Rs. 4 k
Coaxials (Pioneer, JBL): Rs. 2 k
Installation and Sundires (wiring etc): Rs. 5 k

Makes it a competent package and will sound awesome. Trust me.

One suggestion regards to Final Touch's Mr.Rajesh, it's a 'BIG NO'.
I have seen his work when some of the friends got the install done back in 1998. If you looking at quality install as suggested stick with Ajay or Ramie.
And I would go with what Frank suggested. However if you could push your budget a bit get a Kenwood 4 channel or Powerbass amps and some comps.

Re: Lets drive up the heat! Ice for the Polo!

Hey guys..
Just got a trendline myself. Went to Reliance Autozone searching for ICE. They said for any head unit I choose I need to get a radio adaptor pin to connect the head unit to the car antenna. Spoke to the dealer they said its available only with the head unit purchase. So where can I get an aftermarket pin ? and how much does it cost ?

After-market pin should be 250-350 INR.
