Car stereo remains on for couple of seconds after ignition off

I recently got a cigarette lighter and Belkin car inverter installed in my car. Since then, i am noticing that the car stereo remains ON for a couple of seconds more after i have switched off the car completely.
Is this something to worry about?

re: Car stereo remains on for couple of seconds after ignition off

I assume that the inverter battery keeps the capacitor charged for a bit longer as the current in the wiring takes a bit more than the normal setup.

It should not be a problem unless you feel static current while touching the stereo and other internal metallic parts of the car.

Cheers!

Sniper beat me to it. I was going to say the exact same thing. Are you feeling any static from the metallic surfaces on the car during this brief period? Or even when the car's running?
