By playing it 4-8hrs (or more hours a day) and using it for more than 350 days a year would qualify as hard use in my book.

Guruji is very nice, some others call me low_bass&trouble_makker and what not. I have no clue what all that means. I assume you are talking about the thread where in her interview, Pamela Anderson names me as the man she lusts most for. All good sir, I am a very modest person that way.

Guruji!Me mistake you!!!

No i was talking about your "Sierra" thread..What patience! seriously, iam not kidding, people have been offended here i observe, for negative opinion's on Pamela Anderson's....Car.

So,"When i grow up,i want to be like Guruji" is my mantra ;-).

And has anyone seen the Latest 6850, with 6 cd changer and panel doubling up as DVD screen etc etc x 100!

I have it in my Innova, mind blowing i must say. Also the Pioneer 'premier' with in built bluetooth phone(wireless)...Cutting edge technology,But i still like the simpler series. Infact Iraghava has classicaly summarised the beauty(and why's) of pioneer's in his last two posts.

Yup Saurabh my usage is high due to a lot og highway touring. And if I'm in the car the stereo HAS to be on. Infact there are regular days where I'm in the car for 4-5 hours at a stretch!

P.S. I do about 40K kms odd every year on average!

And regarding this is iRags on question, it's got to do something with tyres too I guess.

I am not sure if Pioneer has stopped cd changer production, but the demand for them is very low considering that they dont play mp3s, the declining popularity of cassette head units, and the increasing popularity of mp3 head units, iPods, USB devices etc.

dang ! that sucks...it would be great to have a 12-disc MP3 changer. B&T, you mentioned the DVD changer - how does this rig up to an existing pio HU (5xxx series + screen), and what is the approx cost of this unit (before i go hunting again)?

Dont know, was very expensive a while ago. Maybe 30k odd? It connects to HU via the IP Bus cable (provided with DVD changer).

As far as I know, Pioneer CD Changers doesn't play MP3s. There is not even a single model out in the market that can play MP3s, they only make multi-cd changers(50 cds etc). However some of their high end Headunits with built-in cd changers can play MP3s.

I have installed it in my Corolla, it's probably one of the best HUs available today in terms of features. But I am not sure about the audio quality.

I don't know whether they are available now, but I know for a fact that Sony and Alpine have CD Changers that play MP3s.

Blaupunkt has a DVD changer (6-disc) available now, that plays MP3s.

to nip is a verb meaning something along the lines of 'to move quickly'. Also, a biting quality, as in cold or frosty air: There's a nip in the air this morning. ;)
