Experienced the Ignite breakdown service the other day when my car had mood swings and refused to start after half a day of running around the city. Intially on cranking there was no voltage coming from the ignition coil but the car started when we did a push start. Suspect a sensor fault, will get it checked and post an update.

Hi Guys ... I'm sorry for delaying my write-up. To be short i was very impressed with the service and their work. I had the below problems:
  • Vehicle switing off in signals with A/C on. Without A/C it behaves normally.
  • Brake Shoe change
  • Engine oil change from Mineral to Synthetic
  • Door pads fix
  • Steering oils change and new cap for Steering oil reservoir
  • K&N air filter stock replacement
I was completely impressed by the work and i was happy to pay 32K for the work.

I did a trip from Hosur->Chennai->Hosur->Chennai in a single day and now the gearbox is miss aligned and reverse gear is not engaging. Again i had sent to Ignite for fixing it.

I'll get my SX4 serviced here once the warrant period is over.

One good thing is that he keeps us informed about the updates and cares to explain what needs to be done.

I'm in Netherland now and i get regular updated on my car over email with pictures of the part that are worn out and that needs to be changes !!!

This is confusing - how can the gearbox get misaligned when you did 600 kms a day ?

Or did you have this problem before?

This problem was not there before and the long driving might not be the actual cause as i have done this kind of a trip multiple time. the problem might have come somewhere in the middle of the drive while slowing down or reversing!

The probable cause as mentioned by Raghav " Although the exact cause of the damage cannot be accurately determined, I suspect it could be because of engaging reverse gear when vehicle was crawling forward or engagement of 1st gear when vehicle was moving under momentum in reverse"

One more item that i forgot to add was lower arm replacement. I'm sure this would have costed more if i had given it to Ford service and most of the time they have not diagonised and fixed the actual issue.

Hey, I meant fixing, not repairing. Mr. Bean will know better about this.

@mail4loys, what was the symptom for this misaligned gear box ?

Watever it is, not exactly fun repairing & fixing things. I was speak to Raghav today & he was refering to the work done on Bala's baleno.. When he hears my esteem story, he gonna faint. I have had nightmares too.

Just to give an update, I gave my baleno for service at the ignite. I will give my rating based on the quality of his work once I get my car:
Garage is clean, could have been better if they could serve some tea or coffee
He drove the vehicle on a bad stretch & at the same time we took the connecting road to shollinganallur to check for problems
He cares to explain the problem, how important it is to fix it at the earliest.

I also spotted a black ford ikon with a team-bhp sticker on the rear bumper..

I am going for the following on my car:
Mobil synthetic Engine oil
Original suzuki fuel filter
Mobil Gear Box Synthetic Oil
Wurth Radiator Flush
OWS Treatment like engine flush, engine protector, one more I don't remember the name
Iridium spark plugs
Throttle body cleaning
MGP clutch kit, SGP clutches are not sold for the past 8 months?
Door correction & fix rattling
SGP Brake pads
Matt Black painting on the bonnet (not finalised)
FFE (not finalised, but i am in a mood to be loud)

The gear level was in an angle were the neutral was near first gear and i'm not sure how this happened as my car was driven by my friend and noticed when we were not able to reverse for parking at my house
