Now, in Kerala, you can take a tourist permit and operate anywhere inside the state. Similarly every state provides permit for buses operating within the state. BUT, does that mean the buses can be used to daily trips? Only Stage Carriages are permitted to pick-up passengers en route and operate "trips".

As you know tourist bus permit is different and I was mentioning about Omni bus permit only. The tax is about 3000/seat/qtr in TN to get this permit.
In TN there is no Tourist bus permit issues until otherwise you own a Mofussil / City bus.
