Some pics from Auto Expo

Seems that Volvo has come up with a correct price for the single axle coaches.
Coach looks almost a 9400 from most angle (for a normal man views). There are some cost cutting measures visible here and there. But the level of price reduction seems to be high as compared to the features that got reduced compared to 9400.

There seems to be good response for 9400PX and Volvo has loaded with features which seems to be too good.
The war for Multi axle coaches takes a step ahead.
Sorry for the reduced angle of images. Volvo stall itself was very cramped and is parked with 4 big buses and also lots of people are there so managed with only few snaps.

Which of the two axle is the drive axle in the 9400PX?

AMW has displayed a concept of front engine Multi axle coach - Magnus. I think this is the first concept they thought of their own.
Body built from Sutlej. Work seems to acceptable. Important to note here is this bus has almost(80%) same luggage compartment as RE coach.

Man has showcased their FE bus derived from Explorer. The body built by Azad. This has some good smart features like full flat saloon floor even till driver compartment(you literally walk over engine), inswing door for a FE AC bus and it even had a side sliding seats made by Pinnacle.
If priced appropriately its a good product.

There exists two big fever with in the CV makers in India during Auto Expo this year.
One is Multi axle coach(AMW,TM,Volvo) and the other one is 10x4 rigid truck(AL, AMW,TM).
Concept Multi axle coach is displayed by TM.
This time coach is derived from Marcopolo range instead of Hispano as earlier. This seems to be great product by many means. By spec seems to be comparable with all Multi axle coaches currently available in India. Name: P070112_17.10_02.jpg

RA1 as like Mercedes Benz. This is the universal position of drive axle in any Multi axle coach by any manufacturer.

Any information on the specs of this product (Volvo 9100)? What features have been cut down?

The evident ones are: Projector headlamps, motorised mirrors are gone. The shape of the first window is also different (similar to Mark-1 volvos).

TATA presented the fuelcell bus. But I did not get the pics. TATA also presented the Prima dumper truck.

Also AMW had shown multi excel dumper truck.

Could you please share the price of the 9400, 9400PX and the new single axle coach?
I am just interested in seeing the cost of these coaches as I have no clue on their cost range.

would be very interesting to compare the prices of the volvo with the TATA and AMW coaches. IIRC, the volvo single axle coaches used to cost around 50 Lakhs, now maybe more.

Thanks Ashley2 for the picture. Looks nice. This is an interesting move from TM. Paradiso G7 is a model available in international markets from the Marcopolo stable. Is this the beginning of the extension of the current partnership between TM and Marcopolo? Will they introduce the Double Decker and Vestibule bus models from the Marcopolo in India? This could be an import model for demo, how many months / years will it take to launch this commercially in India? Will this mean we won't see the latest Hispano models any time soon in India?
If TM could snatch a fraction of the Intercity market especially in south, that will be big achievement considering their current market share in this segment.
When can we see a multi axle bus from AL?

I too am interested in knowing the cost of the 9100. It looks interesting! Also, any idea about the cost of the 7400 (plain 7400, not 7400PX) city bus? Is it positioned below the 8400?
