Volvo B7R reviews?

Volvo B7R buses have transformed the indian bus transportation scene completely. They rule the expressways and make all other buses look terribly outdated.

But still I have not come across any reviews for these buses.
Does anyone has info regarding the tech spec for the B7R? Comparison of 0-100kmph times with other buses?

It would be interesting if somebody could provide this info.. or give a pointer to where this info could be found.

I dont intend to buy the B7R..but I travel a lot on these buses especially on Bombay-Pune e-way and they amaze me with their speed, stability, refinement etc...so I am just curious

Im so much in love with this beast, that i decided to start a lil blog on it : Travelling by Volvo B7R bus in India

I have travelled around 10 times on the B7R, the longest route being Mumbai-Davanagere-Mumbai. Have been scared to death by these too (while riding at 4am on the single lane section after dharwad, and being overtaken by a volvo while i was riding at 100km/h on my karizma)..

I love collecting B7Rs pics too.. Someday i wish to drive one too.. someday..

the latest crde version is more powerful and has an optional fuel tank capacity of 600L!

I am Just Curious: Has anybody on the forum driven a B7R?

We all know the good things about the B7Rs: comfort, refinement, speed... But, but one sad thing I've noticed about these busses is the discomfort they cause to people with motion sickness. For them, the high seating position, soft suspension and recirculated-air aggravates motion sickness and makes travel hell.

Since, I don't suffer from any kind of motion sickness, I love the transformation they have brought to travel by bus. That is, when I am inside it. When outside, I want to stay away from them as much as possible.

I'm a big fan Volvo B7R & have travelled extensively in it. Mainly in Bangalore - Trivandrum route. Its a monster but off late the condition of the Volvo's running to Kerala are going down. It still pulls like no other thing on the road i can feel the massive torque in every gear shift while sitting in it as a passenger. The best part is the driver never puts the first gear, they always start from the second gear from standstill n it still pulls away like a knife through butter.

kpzen : Thats a nice paint job! and even on indian buses, drivers rarely use the 1st gear until unless he is starting off from an incline..

Folks,
There are a few prominent omni bus companies in Chennai etc which have TATA (Cummins?) vehicles with exactly same body build of Volvo.
Had the misfortune of travelling in them on 2 occassions -The difference is like Chalk and Cheese.
