Tata Motors showcases 3 new trucks for municipal use

Tata Motors showcased three new fully-built vehicles for municipal use at Municipalika 2015. The vehicles showcased include the Tata Ace Zip 1.25 cu. m. Hopper Tipper BS III, the Tata Ace Desilting Machine BS IV, and the suction (5KL)-cum-jetting (4KL) machine on Tata LPT 1613/42 Truck BS III and BS IV.

Tata Ace Zip 1.25 cu. m. Hopper Tipper BS III:
This is a fully-built BS III-compliant tipper that can be used for movement of household garbage (door-to-door garbage collection) through narrow lanes due to small size. It is powered by a 611cc, single-cylinder diesel engine that develops 11 BHP @ 3,000 rpm and 31 Nm of torque @ 1,600-1,800 rpm. It has a turning circle of 3.5 metres.

Tata Ace Desilting Machine BS IV:
This is a fully-built, BS IV-complaint vehicle with a mounted desilting machine. It can be used for cleaning manholes / wet wells up to a depth of 40 feet. It is powered by a 700cc, twin-cylinder diesel engine that produces 16 BHP @ 3,200 rpm and 37 Nm of torque @ 2,000 rpm. It has a turning circle of 8.6 metres and a grab bucket of 20 litres.

Suction (5KL)-cum-jetting (4KL) machine on Tata LPT 1613/42 Truck BS III and BS IV:
This is a truck-mounted mobile unit for dislodging and removing obstructions and blockages from sewer lines by a high pressure water jetting system and suctioning the sludge / slurry from sewer manholes, gully pits, septic tanks, etc. by a vacuum suction system and discharging the collected sludge by hydraulic tipping of the containers or by blow-back arrangement. The Tata LPT 1613/42 is powered by a diesel engine that churns out 134 BHP @ 2,400 rpm and 490 Nm of torque @ 1,400-1,800 rpm. It has maximum permissible GVW of 16,200 kg and tank capacity of 4,000 litres for fresh water and 5,000 litres for sludge tank.
