Yes, Naidu developed Hyderabad at the cost of other cities. All the revenue of other districts were pumped into Hyderabad and Hyderabad alone. And, he is incorrigible. He is doing same mistake again and investing all the state's money now in Vijaywada/Amaravati. He seems to have something personal against North Andhra.

Naidu's main achievements in Hyd are IT and ISB. There is no city in AP of that time with the needed infrastructure to attract those projects. One of the basic minimums is a proper airport. Which other city had it. Vizag airport is prone to flooding. Naidu took hyderabad from nothing to something.

If the people of north andhra have to blame someone, then it should be the voters. They used to vote for congress and they paid them back by spliting the state. If not for people of andhra(north andhra and rayalaseema) congress would not have come to power both at center and state in 2004.

On a side note, is it not a good thing that we are talking about a politician developing something.

Re: Hyperloop to connect Amaravati and Vijayawada

It would be great if India becomes the pioneer in any new technology implementation/adoption for that matter and lead the way.

Not intending to be pessimistic about Hyperloop, but we have to look at the hard facts.

Hyperloop technology as it stands now is in its very nascent stages, although the first prototype has been built and tested just a couple of months back (in lab conditions), it will take a really long time (several years) for the technology to be perfected and matured.

Even after the Hyperloop technology evolves and infrastructure is in place to shuttle between any two places. It will be be used at first to only ferry goods and cargo across for a number of years.

It takes years for new aircraft to go through the exhaustive certification process to be considered airworthy and safe for passenger transportation. We are talking about a 50 year old known jet technology here, such are the stringent regulations.

Similarly, it will take a long long time (atleast 20 years from now) for the Hyperloop technology to mature and be considered safe enough to carry passengers, considering the speed at which this moves, there will be several technological/safety hurdles to clear, regulations to be defined and adhered to before passenger safety can be assured.

In the meantime, all the talk that is happening on Hyperloop is just pure media hype, sensationalism or genuine euphoria of a radical new way to travel
Sure prototypes will get built, improved and further improved, we have just started baby steps in this direction and it will take time before becoming a practical reality ferrying passengers.

I believe that there is a big difference in environmental conditions between hyperloop and aviation. In aviation industry, the planes have to deal with extremely abusive and varied environments which make certification that much more tedious and time consuming. In hyperloop technology, since we have the ability to control the environment of travel to an extent, as well as the variation in environments being much less severe at ground levels, we might see far quicker progression when it comes to developing and certifying the model.

In a few years time Hyperloop, the latest tube technology that is being tested around the world, could start plying in Karnataka. Virgin Hyperloop One has signed an MoU with the state government of Karnataka to conduct a preliminary study.

The idea is to connect cities such as Tumakuru, Hubli-Dharwad and Hosur.
