I had an idea myself. Is it possible to extend the load bay by a foot in case of a double cab?
I know it is mechanically possible and I have guys who will make it look absolutely bone stock.
The weight on the extended portion won't be much to cause any issues with the chassis or behavior of the vehicle.

What I also wanted this vehicle was for dropping off employees when they work late during the festive season. We have nearly 50% female staff and dropping them home safely is a priority for us. Hence the 5 seater thing.
Will have to work on this. Maybe a small used vehicle for people carrying and a large one for two wheelers and material.

How about the pick ups generally used by the traffic cops to lift the 2 wheeler from non parking areas? Which vehicle is that? A size able no of 2 wheeler can be displayed (although not in the same manner that they are towed)IMO the same would suit the purpose. Or for that matter instead of buying a new vehicle, if the towing contractor can be approached to loan the vehicle on contract basis if the promotional activities is only for a short duration.

Buying a vehicle for yourself has the freedom of customising and using it without hesitation as and when you wish. Practically after you purchase a truck you aren't going to spend so much except.
Hiring an agency or a truck is all for the light heart's who doesn't want to soil the hands. Even economically using a hired truck will cost you more, in a long run that too with limited customisation.

The basic funda of buying a truck is to brand it completely and customise it to your requirements. This isn't going to happen in a hired truck or you will need to shell more than what expected, to wrap it completely. In case of your truck, you will paint or wrap it once and it will stay for an year atleast.

There are many dealership's who has these kind of trucks and have witnessed great level of reach. My suggestion is not to go with Mini truck / Pickup, but for a used Tata 407/ Eicher 1059 / SML Sartaj. This will have higher loading space and have more provisions for branding.



This is actually too heavily moded, but you can still have a simple arrangement. Easily this can accommodate two or three bikes, with min 4 sales person around.
But this (neither Pickup or D Max) cant be doubled up for dropping your staff.

Mechanically, yes - no problem. But as per MV rules, we cant modify to extend the length.

But what is the requirement regarding the cargo area -
just transport and move them to display area or display on truck itself ?

Also, have you thought of splitting the requirements - transportation vs people movement. People movement looks less often, hence you could hire a cab on those days. This way you can customise the truck.

At the moment, the option suggested by Ashley looks most suitable. You could get a Swaraj or Eicher or Tata 407 Ex and customise it for crew-cab + display.

Tata 407's. Cant transport employees. Not suitable for display. or Safety of merchandise.

The 407 would be mid-size, not large. The cabin design is different from the regular semi-forward cab that we are familiar with

Why not buy a Bolero Camper Gold?
Promotional activity, seating space for 5, AC and the bulletproof reliability and durability of Bolero, all at a lower price. IMO, the brown Bolero (it comes in one color only I guess) can be the ideal vehicle for your work.

Navpreet, this may be your answer.

1) White-board registration possible
2) If you remove the seats, Enough space for 2 scooters at back
3) Safety of materials inside.
4) Not too big. Should be able to reach your office thru the roads mentioned
5) No additional external modifications / body building required.
6) If required, get a high-roof version
7) Can seat 3 in front ( 2+1 ).
8) Fabricate a folding bench seat mounted behind front row, which can be used for staff during drops.
