Eicher has launched two new Pro 6000 Series heavy duty trucks in India. The Eicher Pro 6049 is a 49 tonne tractor unit and the Eicher Pro 6041 is a 41 tonne rigid truck.



The Eicher Pro 6049 comes in a 6X4 configuration. It is powered by a 7.7-litre, in-line 6-cylinder BS-IV diesel engine with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. The peak output is 250 HP @ 2,200 rpm and 950 Nm @ 1,100-1,700 rpm. The truck comes equipped with ABS as standard.



The Eicher Pro 6041 is claimed to be India's first 41 tonne rigid haulage truck and has an overdrive gearbox. It comes equipped with a lift axle with twin tyres for a 3.5 tonne higher payload than the current 37 tonne units. The Pro 6041 is powered by the same 7.7-litre, in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine as the Pro 6049 tractor. The engine features Eicher's M Booster+ technology, which is claimed to deliver better fuel economy and improved engine performance. It comes with features like Eicher Live, Intelligent Driver Information System (IDIS) and Engine Protection System (EPS).
