Boeing flight lands sideways amid UK storm

With strong winds blowing directly cross ways on the runaway, it took the pilot a minute to very skilfully land the plane sideways. The footage has earned the pilot a lot of praise on social media.

Kudos to pilot's skills and presence of mind

This is called "crosswind landing" - Youtube has loads of such videos. Landing an aircraft in such conditions is part of pilot training I think.

That's some skill. Its a bit like Melbourne's Hook turn. Looks strange but once you think about it, it makes perfect sense.
