Eicher has launched its BS-VI compliant Pro 2000 series of light duty trucks in India. The new model is available in two variants - Eicher Pro 2049 and Eicher Pro 2095XP with 1.8 m and 2.0 m cabin configurations.

The Eicher Pro 2049 comes with a 10.4 feet loading space with a payload capacity of 2.7 tonnes. It has a 1.8 m tiltable cabin. Inside, it get a multi-function steering wheel, fuel coaching system and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android one connectivity, micro SD card slot, USB, FM and Bluetooth. The seats have 180 mm of travel and come with lumbar support.

The Eicher Pro 2095XP is available in five cargo body options ranging from 14.1-21.5 feet with payload capacity of 7.2 tonnes. A 6-speed gearbox variant is also available. The truck comes equipped with a 190-litre fuel tank. It also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Eicher Live telematics.

Both trucks come equipped with new E474 and E494 BS-VI compliant engines and have all-wheel disc brakes.

Sorry for being a bit :OT So, a commercial truck comes with all wheel disc brakes but many new cars (even slightly expensive ones) like the Tata Harrier, which boasts of being based on a Land Rover platform has only drums at the rear :Frustrati

I see the sticker on the Pro 2049 suggesting it is a BSIV compliant vehicle and not BSVI.
Am I missing something?

The mighty 407 now has some competition. The Pro 1049 was not successful it seems.
