This is going to take the Rural India by Storm.. Also, i will not be surprised, if within two years time, all the Bajaj Autorickshaws will get replaced "Magically"..

Tata has some good Photoshoppers, I'm sure.

Why couldnt they put a fibreglass top (a la Roplas for Mahindra Jeeps) at least? Why this tarpaulin fixation?

This will give tough run for the share autos in Chennai which are currenty custom made from raiding the parts bin of many commercial vehicles.

The image is clearly altered digitally. Looks good. We cannot expect that finish in flesh. Tarpaulin top is to keep cost low and also for immediate switch over to a load carrier.

So interesting the Light catcher line. It was always present in Ace and I used to think why? But somehow knew Magic will make use of it!! So much for long term thinking. I bet this was conceptualised in parallel with the ACE.

Making those fibre tops is a cumbersome process. It involves putting layers of material and waiting for it to dry. Not the best option if you are planning huge volumes.

A better option would be a one piece plastic top & that can be produced in large volumes too.
