Mahindra Jeeto Plus launched at Rs. 3.47 lakh

Mahindra has launched a new variant of the Jeeto min-truck called the Jeeto Plus. It is priced at Rs. 3.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The Jeeto Plus measures 3,876 mm in length, 1,498 mm in width and 1,750 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. It has a payload capacity of 715 kg and loading deck of 7.4 feet. The truck has a 10.5 litre fuel tank.

The Jeeto Plus is powered by a 625cc, single-cylinder diesel engine that produces 16 BHP and 38 Nm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The vehicle's claimed fuel efficiency is 29.1 km/l.

The Jeeto Plus comes with a 3 year / 72,000 km warranty.

Is this BS-VI version ? Most likely not.

Then what is the point in launching this towards the end of year ? That too with only 4 months to the BS-VI deadline ?

Wouldn't they be putting their supply chain & dealer under unnecessary risk of piling up BS-IV stocks ?

Or is this one of those innovative ways adopted by someone in Mahindra to fulfill "x" number of market launches before their annual performance appraisal ?

Discovered Mahindra Jeeto plus cng test variant near Yerwada Pune. Sizes look very close to Tata Ace visually.
