| Pics: The Dubai International Air Show, 2019 20th November 2019 The UAE was about to get hit with some relatively heavy rainfall. My boss asked us to leave early that day to avoid getting stuck in traffic resulting from the rains It was right around then that I got a text from a friend asking if I wanted some passes to the Dubai Air show. Decent weather, an afternoon to spare and free tickets. Who am I to say no to that. (Note: it hadn’t started raining at that point. However, there were some heavy showers on my way to DWC) Now that about sums up my literary skills, so here are some amateur photographs taken on my cell phone camera. I have very basic knowledge of airplanes so ill let the more educated folks here to help the rest of us identify what I shot. A Big'Ol Rolls Royce     I found this quite interesting. A Propeller Fighter Plane in this day and age? Its the B-250 built by Calidus  A Battery powered air plane. This one was minuscule in proportions compared to the others      I guess this is the Warthog/Thunderbolt?  and this ones taken a beating too!     By the time I got to this section, I wasnt sure if I wanted to go ahead. But man am I glad i did. Do you see it?  How about now?   Never thought id see an F22 Raptor in the flesh. Easily the highlight of the show for me.        Interesting attachment to the plane. Never seen anything like it before    The F22 wasnt the only Raptor at the Show  Apparently this plane fits inside a 20ft Container!!   There were a lot more planes on display, and even more indoor exhibits. Although these were for me the more interesting from the bunch Cheers!! Last edited by bivin : 24th November 2019 at 17:50. |

I reached the venue quite late. Reached the venue at about 4.45pm. And the show ended at 5.30pm. I did catch a glimpse of a fighter jet air display but i guess that was the last show for the day. Have some footage of that but nothing worth sharing. Cheers P.S: Saw this video and realised the F22 was on display at some point of the show!! Now what a sight that would have been!! | |

| Re: Pics: The Dubai International Air Show, 2019 I dropped by one of the days. Here's a few photos my friend captured that day. Al Fursan  Boeing 787-9  Fiji Airways Livery. Something about it is aesthetically pleasing.  Boeing F/A 18 & Boeing KC 46  Etihad Boeing 787-9 ft Manchester City  Rafale  Getting as many rears as one can in a single photo.  A total of $50 billion worth of deals occured at the expo, with Airbus alone bagging deals worth $30 billion. |
