Mahindra ATOM

The ATOM is an electric vehicle designed for last mile connectivity:


The interesting thing to note on the ATOM is that it has only 2 doors - one at the front right for the driver and the other at the rear left for the passengers:


The ATOM is based on MESMA (Mahindra Electric Scalable Modular Architecture) and comes with a 48V system:


Aero wheels. The ATOM rides on 12-inch wheels shod with 135/70 rubber:


At the rear, it gets circular lights. Bumper gets thin integrated reflectors:


On the inside, the ATOM comes with a 2-spoke steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster and a fire extinguisher. It gets a NEMO app, which is a shared mobility app that lets drivers look for potential customers to ferry. It can also be used to find charging stations as well:

Mahindra Treo

A new version of the Mahindra Treo electric rickshaw on display. It is finished in a dual-tone of white and blue:


It is claimed that the ergonomics of the Treo have been improved:


The Treo gets a solar roof which can extend the range by 26 km. It also gets another range extender which can increase the range by 60 to 70 km:


It is claimed that except for the batteries, everything has been developed in-house:


The Treo Zor is the cargo version of the Treo electric rickshaw:

Mahindra e-Alfa Mini

The cargo version of the e-Alfa Mini on display at the show. Mahindra claims it can be used for last mile connectivity of goods:


The e-Alfa Mini is powered by a 1.5 kW motor and has a 48 V system. The claimed range is around 80 km with a full load and it takes 10 to 12 hours to charge fully. It also comes with an optional swappable battery:

Mahindra Jeeto Plus

The Jeeto Plus on display. It is powered by a 625cc single cylinder engine producing 15.8 BHP and 38 Nm paired to a 4-speed manual transmission:


It comes with an insulated box to maintain temperature of goods and has a payload capacity of 715 kg. The vehicle could be used by E-Com companies:

Mahindra Supro Tipper

The Supro Tipper is used for waste segregation and comes with 'Swachh Bharat' stickers:


It is powered by a 909cc 2-cylinder engine producing 26 BHP and 55 Nm. It is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission:

Mahindra also showcased the BS6 range of Blazo, Furio and Cruzio trucks and buses:


The BS6 engines retain more than 90% of the parts from the BS4 engines. Mahindra has added technologies like Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) to meet BS6 emission norms:

I have been looking to buy an e-rikshaw and had a really pathetic experience at their Chandigarh showroom. The were least bothered to make a sale and haven't gotten back to me till date with answers to my questions. They don't list a Chandigarh dealer for Mahindra Electric but I thought that at least since they had a commercial vehicle section and an e-Alfa for showcase, they would be a little bit interested.
Any idea what battery chemistry they are using in the Treo and price of battery replacement.

I saw the Atom under testing near Attibele in Bangalore. The test driver was doing about 65 kmph and the vehicle was holding pretty well. Build quality did not show the ruggedness of a conventional auto rickshaw. This vehicle will definitely be a successful story for Mahindra in private segment
