New Delhi: India’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Tuesday introduced its concept vehicle Quark 1, termed as the world’s first class changing vehicle as part of its project, Hero Hatch Electric Modular Mobility. The product can be used interchangeably as both, a two-wheeler and a three-wheeler, for personal and commercial operations including e-commerce and deliveries, for category L5 of three-wheeler and L2 of two-wheeler, under Motor Vehicles Act. Powered by M360 and AMSEP (Advanced Modular Scalable Electric Powertrain) technology, the concept has an interchange mechanism with retractable rear wheel. Designed with an aim to reduce vehicle density, Hero said that the concept was derived from the age-old practice of using horses for multiple services, which conceptualized into the idea of using vehicles for multi-utility solutions today. The vehicle comes with technologies like live monitoring of battery SOC, customizable user profiles, GPS and provides access to OTA (over the air) updates and monitoring across the vehicle. |
