| ![]() The state government of Goa has decided to waive 50% of the road tax levied on commercial vehicles till March 31, 2021. ![]() The decision was taken in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic as commercial vehicles were not used for at least 6 months due to the lockdown. Transport operators will not have to pay a penalty or interest. It has been reported that various public transport associations had voiced their demands as operators were not in a position to pay the full annual road tax as most vehicles could not ply due to the lockdown. Therefore, the government has decided to offer a tax waiver as compensation. Source Link to Team-BHP News Last edited by TusharK : 26th November 2020 at 11:11. |

| ![]() There shouldn't be any road tax at all, except OTT like private vehicles. We cannot continue to punish businesses for moving goods/people and generating employment. |
