Apollo tyres have announced its expansion into the truck-bus tyre segment in the US and Canada. Tyres for the commercial vehicle segment in both countries will be sold under the Apollo brand, while the premium European brand ‘Vredestein’ will continue to be used for its PV range.



The Apollo truck tyre range consists of offerings suited for all applications. These include regional, super-regional, coach/urban and mixed-use. The tyres are also offered in different rim sizes ranging between 17.5 to 24.5-inches. All the tyres will be manufactured at the brand’s facilities in Hungary and India.



Apollo stated that the launch of their tyre brand in the US and Canada is a result of five years of R&D including in-market research, planning and business infrastructure development.

Ahead of its launch, the tyres were said to be put under a test fleet service and benchmarked against other Tier I competitors in the segment. The tyres went through multiple re-tread cycles under extensive usage, passing all the requirements of a typical North American fleet customer.



Apollo will be offering a 72-month warranty on all its commercial vehicle tyres. It is also the only tyre brand in the CV segment to also offer a free road-hazard warranty as standard.
