do u know that volvo sold 8 B7Rs in Sep 2006 and 11 in Sep 2007?
I think the new range of KingLongs and Luxuras will really give the Volvos a run for their money..

Have you thought this over?
- Volvo spares are frightfully expensive
- Hence, Private operators would take a long call before going in for any repairs
- STUs squander public money, the more spares they buy the more someone in their system makes money, hardly any accountability and efficiency in spend
- The more the competition (B7R has unleashed the domestic competition to follow suit), the heat on B7R will intensify, and you will see more operators switching over to King Longs, Luxuras, etc who may be as good (maybe a little below par), but at far lower capex and operating costs
- The falling B7R sale is testimony to its falling popularity - the same thing happened with Volvo's FM7 and FH12 which stopped selling (but for niche applications) thanks to the heavy repair and spares costs

MAN has a tie up with Bajaj Tempo (now renamed Force Motors) and they have launched the MAN range recently - if I am not mistaken, in the 49 tonner range

They have mid-size trucks too, with four cylinder engine. The bigger ones have six cylinder 6800 CC engine.

The MAN cab as well as the engines that Force is introducing in India have been phased out in Europe but are still good enough and a lot better than the typical Indian lorry.
