Could be the new Ace, as the proportions match those of the existing Tata..

Thats not an ACE, or the ACE replacement and thats not a M800 headlamp.

It looks like a new competitor to Tata from AMW, Asian Motor Works out of Bhuj,GJ.

I suspect its a rebranded Chinese product which itself is most likely a knock off of a popular Japanese mini pickup.

AMW - Asia Motor Works.
The logo on the steering wheel looks a dead give-away.

And AMW is getting popular - see quite a few big cargo / logistics companies going in for the AMW trucks

AMW has been making 40-45 ton trucks in india for some time now use Cummins engine and ZF gear boxes and the cab is imported from china thats why they look the way they look. And was planing to introduce small pick ups..... so may be.

Ah. Didn't look at the pics closely...

If the contraption is in fact from AMW, does it stand a chance? Tata, Mahindra, Bajaj & Piaggio/ Force motors pretty much have the entire LCV market covered...

Since this is test vehicle, iam sure its a dummy design they might be deliberately trying to fool people.

I take my statement back Tushky. One pic of yours which I did not see earlier does show a version without any kind of grille and the M800 type2 headlamp and a separate turnsignal lamp on the bumper. There seem to be 2 versions.

The grille is a rip off from BMW. Nice work, AMW.

Lots of copies here. How many variants(?) did you see tushky?

One is an M800 rip. The headlamps, the side indicators are all a rip off 800.

The other one has ripped off the beemer nose.

Dont know from where the dash comes, but it does look nice and has some good lines.
