B.E.S.T CNG Bus

Hi All....well this is my first thread...
I have been a BEST fan all my life because they have been diff and pioneers in Indian Transport Buses

I have observed something about the CNG buses in Mumbai.

They have 2 variants TATA and Leyland.

What i have observed is all CNG buses coming out of Anik Bus depot have been TATA(that is the new ones)
All CNG buses that have been coming out from Santacruz depot have been Leyland.

I dunno whts the logic or if there is any logic as i stated before just an bservation.
Also any one had a chance to see the new KingLong buses to ply between dadar and thane.

STU bus depot organisation is usually done manufacturer-wise, in order to make logistics easy. One depot usually has buses from one manufacturer only.

BEST has gone through a radical transormation in the last 2 years - from a 100% Leyland fleet, it has switched over to a majority CNG fleet using Tatas, low-floor Starbuses and the Euro 3 Leylands. But did I hear someone mention that Anik is an all-Tata and Santa Cruz all-Leyland depot?

the leyland buses initially with PN was of L series.
last couple of days i have seen the new MH01-LAXXX series too with PN.

Also on my visit to Ahmedabad i saw the starbus there tho could not take a pic.
Last cpl of weeks hv been hectic travelling and in midst of that i hv been taking Indigo airlines. The new star buses thay have really vibrate a lot in teh back set and also the pulling power is very less.
It really grunts to pull say 35 passengers and as indigo flights r kept quite a distance apart from the airport its alomost 2 kms of good travel to the tarmac and i noticredit really pulls tho the machine looks good i hv my reservations on its power and vibration
