Funny thing is even after years of local manufacturing, BEML hasn't bothered to develop Right Hand Drive version of the Tatra.

Are Army and mining trucks exempted from ARAI's homologation rules?

I suspect BEML is just fabricating them from kits imported from Czec with sarkari engineers not bothering themselves with the trouble of developing a RHD version.

It's fabricated on Tata 713. Wonder how the patients cope up with the bumps!

Unfortunately, they won't be complaining. They aren't our average patients. They have more serious wounds that one could even think of. I have my friend as a Dr. in the army and posted at one of such locations. Bullet in eyes, hand in hand etc..

My Dad's a Doctor in the Army . He's seen far worse than bullet in eye, and hand in hand(?). Some of the other ambulances the army uses are the good ol' Jonga, the 1 ton and the latest being the Sumo.

guys can we refrain from posting photos of indian armed forces vehicles in different locations of india?

it gives away what kind of vehicles are present in what part of the country along with the markings of the regiments also gives away what kind of regiment is stationed in which part of the country!

its same as telecasting the live feed of NSG operation on tv which was used by bombay attack terrorists!

i dont want to hurt anyone's feeling or emotions, but this is a humble request not to post photos of indian armed forces vehicles.

This tank & the Tatra T815 8x8 puller was spotted this morning at northern end of Calicut beach road. It was here for a while & was brought for displaying at Army Day. I've seen the same last week at Vikram Maidan near Calicut Amry base, West hill, but didn't snap as its a restricted area.

Heres the pic of an Ashok Leyland Hippo tractor being used to pull an Agni missile.

I guess for the army relies on AL for their heavy hauling and the Tatra's for their heavy hauling under extreme conditions.

Its not as if the enemy cannot get access to such information through other means. Photographing the odd truck / jeep is hardly going to give a picture of whether there is a local build up of troops in the area.

You can go to bharat rakshak web site and find out a lot more than the pics posted on our forum.
