Now our ISRO guys are hoping about Launching Hydrogen powered(not fuel cells ,I think) buses in Collaboration with TATA.Plan is to launch as soon as 2009.Actually The Agreement was signed on 2006 it seems.They are going to use some technologies used with Space programs in these buses.

And I am pessimistic about the safety with hydrogen tanks placed above the Buses!

CNG buses are been tested by many a state owned RTC's it seems.
