Can any other car creat a charm of this kind, I do not think so, no other car than premier padmini can cover mumbai as she did.

Hats off to the wonderful design from Italy by Fiat.

[Actually mumbai corporation must do something to restore the heritage of mumbai, especially fiats. Fiat cars had a great contribution in mumbai s development.

Guys, let's keep this thread restricted to intra-city cabs only.

Otherwise, every car manufactured in India is being used as a tourist cab somewhere or the other.

hmm, the indigo cs looks great as a taxi. Pity I don't see more on the roads.

Nice to see a thread on the taxis. India was the Land of Ambys and Fiats 40 Years after the independence. The year 1991 marked the entry of the Non Indian players through Liberalisation. Even after almost 2 decades after 1991.... Ambys and Fiats still rule the Taxi Grounds. But closely followed by Indicas and Omnis.!!

In Maharashtra similar such vehicles are called "Tam-Tam's".

The Indigo CS taxicab does look good. TATA should offer a base and affordable version to induce cab operators to shift from the ancient rustbuckets like the Padmini and Amby.

I think this amby limo taxi was seized by RTO from some TV soap shoot (Vicky ki taxi or something) on some Real TV.They even aired some episodes with the limo then went for regular Amby taxi.
