Ugggglyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! They have just added two wheels to the front cabin of their Champion 3 wheeler. TATA Ace in comparison is so cute and Force's 4 wheeled mini truck is so handsome! You have a looser in your hands M&M carrying forward champions tradition

Where are the design brains that created the original Scorpio? Infact even 1/4th of that brain would have been sufficient!

Why didn't they name it "barakuda" We have two ugly twins that are launched Gio & Rio Why does Mahindra want its Corporate grill to be everywhere and spoil the looks of its vehicle?

What happens to Mahindra Scooters? Why a step motherly treatment to those without that Corporate grill

Rs.1.65 lakhs will turn a LOT of heads. "Brutal" is the word that comes to mind when describing its design.

First Rio and now Gio.

The Grill is back again

I think it will still sell in good numbers considering their main rival to be ACE. ACE looks far better in my opinion.

Outright ugly, the front end reminds me of a horror flick where the lead character has the Gio like face all sewed up to look gross.

I feel like puking

Are those still 'rickshaw' sized wheels ? aarghhhh ..

It wont just turn heads.
I guess it will 'turn itself over' more often than not, with those puny wheels and the loads people will stuff onto this joke.

Launched today :

Mahindra Gio
"India's first compact truck"

Premier Rio
"India's first compact diesel suv"

Is this some kind of joke? coincidence? or some new style of cross-using publicity!?

Found the worst design in auto industry, it reminds me of dukkar tempo.

Mahindra is only getting worst with time & experience in terms of design.

@ 1.65L and a payload of 0.5T with a claimed mileage of 27 - bajaj auto's might be seeing a big hit. Also, the Ace territory might be seriously jeopardized.

It's a load carrying vehicle - the looks will not matter. 27 kmpl and 1.65 L will !

But I have to say it looks TOO UGLY.

27 kmpl mileage ????

the segment which uses this vehicle will give a damn to the looks, if the claimed mileage is true, all they want is an efficient workhorse and will accept the "dracula look" if the mileage is close to what is being claimed.

Guys lets not be too hard on the design aspects of this vehicle. Owners of these vehicles concentrate on ROI & are generally not concerned with the design aspects. What M&M have done is strategically price it in a manner that it beats the competition outright.
