I did see the video - there's a bajaj monogram shown on a white vehicle - you mean to say that could be the CV?

Yes that is the CV and when the camera rotates we can see a glance of side view and loadbody. We have to see into the video at a very slow speed.

Re: The Light and Small Commercial Vehicle Thread

Spotted the HM Winner on the ECR : it looks quite sturdy and well-proportioned. Diesel version...I guess the Amby 1.5 diesel engine?

Re: The Light and Small Commercial Vehicle Thread

I recently saw this vehicle on the road, very good looking in the Flesh.

It is the Mahindra Genio

Mahindra Genio | Commercial Pick Ups

It was standing next to another UV (Bolero Pickup) and it looked like a million bucks!

Re: The Light and Small Commercial Vehicle Thread

After Mahindra Maximo, AL-Nissan comming with DOST....it seems TML really don't want to take chance! Spotted TML testing its new ACE with a 2cyl. DICOR engine. There were two ACE (yellow arrow) and one maximo (red arrow) loaded with water barrels.

Siddharth has praised AL DOST and it looks like its going to be a winner. he even spoke about a Innova killer product from Ashley,definately aimed at the taxi segment. On the video, DOST looks nice and better then the Maximo. Nissans help is showing on the Ashley product. Any more details about the DOST?

Re: The Light and Small Commercial Vehicle Thread

He mentions about design cues in the vehicle - shared design theme across vehicle and across AL product.
That was very first for a CV.
But a deciding it a winner is too early to comment!

Re: The Light and Small Commercial Vehicle Thread

Last weekend on my drive towards Vellore, I happened to see this LCV being tested in NH4 (Chennai-Bangalore Highway). To be very frank, I am not able to find out the actual identity of this vehicle even after probing it for 3 full days.

There are some cues like the design and shape of headlights and indicators that tells me that this could be a product of Leyland-Nissan. The basic taillight design found in so many Ashok Leylands and Tatas also signify that this could be a Leyland-Nissan product.

But, there are some other details like the additional crash guard below the front bumper, the grille with a big round slot for the logo (that looks remarkably similar to the pictures of the BharatBenz multi-axle trucks that I posted) that gives me doubts that this could actually be a LCV from BharatBenz.

Can someone throw light on what actually is this? Does it belong to Leyland-Nissan or BharatBenz?

Re: The Light and Small Commercial Vehicle Thread

@arvi86:
The type of snicker pattern hints that it is a Bharat Benz.
There are lot of Bharat Benz test vehicles masked with the same sticker pattern.

Re: The Light and Small Commercial Vehicle Thread

@tushky:
Just have a look at this pic.. and the resemblance with the other members of Daimler family including the masking sticker pattern. (it was a typo error in my earlier post)
