Great pictures, ariesonu! Thanks for sharing.

These are some pretty snazzy looking trains, any idea who they are built by? I think the monorails are going to be built by Scomi. Alstom, maybe?

Just few days back, I was watching how NY subway trains are manufactured by Alstom on Megafactories. Scale of operations are pretty big, and two coaches a day, max capacity.

Are all the coaches going to be imported? Or has anybody setup manufacturing facilities locally?

Also, does this mean that people will spit inside the train now?

Great Pics! Is the metro construction so advanced in Mumbai that coaches are already being delivered? Also, are these imported or built in India - I remember BEML and Bombardier both have capabilities to build Metro coaches

That was the monorail and not the metro, check out the picture.

Looks like the doors on the Mumbai metro open/close on the inside of the compartments unlike the Delhi metro.

There were some test drives happening, which made to the media.
That was very recent. Did not realize its being made open to public pretty soon!
