I think this is where the lines of the game will be drawn.
Volvo seems to have a standard approach globally where as the Mercedes folks seem to be looking at us with a third world approach.
If not why these antique models in a country where the future lies.
In Cricket Language:
Volvo has lined up its playing 11
Where as Mercedes has lined up the B Team for us.
Wake up guys, India is no more a Testing Ground.

Which is still OK because the road and other conditions are still 3rd world. The Volvos are known to rattle and fall apart after a few years. What is not OK is that they are charging more than Volvo !! Plus they have to make sure it won't erode the reputation of the brand.

So many tour operators still send rear engine AL airbuses marked as volvos.

PSS Rathimeena is one such operator, to cite an example. I have seen them utilize a front-engined A/C AL bus on the Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram route with fare charged of a B7R. Prior to departure from the terminus, the bus even had a destination board announcing that it was a Volvo B7R!

Is it in Chennai? Because I've seen a couple of Panthers here. And one of them was spotted in T-Nagar at night around 10
