Attached is the total deliveries by market for the Volvo Group’s truck operations (Volvo Trucks, Mack, Renault Trucks, UD Trucks and Eicher)

Well, I dont know how to react to this. Basically I expected the numbers to be a bit higher.

To put it in perspective, Tata Motors total domestic CV sales for the same month was 40263 units. In fact, Tata Motors medium and heavy trucks sales itself were 16487units in January outstrip the total Volvo sales!!!

Now, isn't that akin to saying the Maruti 800 alone outsells the total Mercedes sales??

Probably, but I just wanted to show my surprise and I expected that the Volvo group sold a lot more than just 15000 trucks.

I knew they were smaller than TML, but I though may be around 30thousand units a month.

By the way, does today's Mercedes group not sell more cars a month all over the world, as compared to the 30thousand odd Altos that Maruti sells in India??? I think it sells a lot more than 30thousand a month.
