Another fab result on my Honda City - Heera Motors (Sukhrali, Gurgaon)

Wanted to share another fabulous experience with Heera this time on my brother's 2014 honda city.

I got a few panels done by him on my EcoSport (shared in my previous post ) and then a door on Ignis and having tested his mettle enough, went in for a full paint job on the City which had numerous touch-ups at Honda and by now almost every panel had a different shade.

There were close to 7-8 panels which needed repairs so it was suggested to get full paint instead. Total cost was 24k. The car had a really bad and thick bondo layer from previous jobs which was an eye sore as you would see the pics below.

Heera did a fab job in actually removing the bondo and getting bare metal and then doing a very thin layer of filler and giving it a factory finish. Lines are perfect !!

I usually interact with Sachin who's the longest brother of Heera and he is outstanding. Always regular on updates with whatsapp calls or pics. The best part is that they are not greedy and have the eye for detail in their paint job.

Will let the pictures do the talking now.

The thick filler before

Great work by Heera Motors, Gurgaon on my Abarth Punto!

Thank you Bhpian akhilesh and Tuisha110HP for sharing your experiences. Your comments/ recommendations helped me take the decision of going ahead with Heera Motors.

This was my first visit to Heera Motors as my Abarth Punto was subjected to some vandalism recently which was bothering me. Took the opportunity to also get other minor scratches/ dents on the doors painted and the entire car rubbed and polished.

As suggested by fellow Bhpians, I called Mr Heera on 18 November 2020 around 10 AM and reached the Sukhrali workshop at about 10.30 AM. He along with his other staff took a close look and gave an estimate of costs and informed that it would take 3-4 days. Mr Heera's staff present at the workshop informed that they worked on an identical car few days back and for a moment they thought that why has the same car come back. I clarified that there are only two colours (Black and White) in which this car is available with the common Abarth branding/ stickers.

I informed Mr Heera that this was my first visit based on recommendations of fellow Bhpians and I was hoping for a 100% paint match with his personalized attention to details for which he is known for. He assured the same and also confirmed that if there is any dissatisfaction he would get it corrected without any additional costs. He drove me to his new paint shop on MG Road nearby and took me around the shop and the facilities.

Took delivery of the car today, 21 November 2020 and the work done appears to be of great quality and in line with the past feedback and appreciation. Cost appears to be reasonable and worth the quality of work executed and would highly recommend him for his polite nature, customer dealing and professional approach.

Even though I park the car in the covered parking of our apartment complex, have ordered a TPH Cover (Dark Horse) as an abundant caution to try and protect the car to the extent practically possible. Expecting the same to be delivered in 7-10 days time.

Now sharing some pictures taken before and after the paint work for reference. Please bear with me for the reflection.

Excellent results must say. The finish looks spot on ! occasional shampooing and polishing helps retain the gloss for a long time. That's what I've been doing

Thank you. Noted. Will do that. It was my first visit and indeed a very pleasant surprise to see the final result. Most importantly, I liked the approach of everyone at the workshop, which is difficult to find.

The finish looks amazing, it literally looks like dark chrome.
I had an unfortunate incident with my race red EcoSport involving the rear right door, and the A.S.S., although sincere, managed to get the paint slightly mismatched. You can't really see it, but when you do, you can't unsee it.
Your post gives me the confidence to drive a 100 km to leave my car with this guy.
BTW.. Isn't the rear left tyre fixed wrong? The face meant to be the inner side is visible..

Thanks. Yes, he indeed did a great job and I am very impressed with his approach and attention to details. Later, I had also given my Brezza for rubbing and polishing and more importantly for removing some paint droplets spread across the entire exterior of the car due to paint job in our apartment complex. He got them removed very professionally and returned the car the same day with a great job on the polishing.

Sorry to hear about your incident. I am sure it would be worth giving it a try even if it means driving 100 km. Please feel free to give him my reference. It is easier for him to relate to me as the Black Abarth Punto guy.

Yes, at that point in time there was a mushroom puncture job done and the local tyre repair guy reversed it while fixing so that it does not look ugly on the outside. However, I changed it later to its normal position.

I visited Hira to get a dent repaired on my car (courtesy: some stupid biker). He fixed it quite good. Though not 100%, but as good as 85-90% fixed. Paint & Mechanical Work - Heera Motors (Sukhrali, Gurgaon)-9f2aa4df608b4f5d888c3fdf2fd7e486.jpeg

Excellent results! Would you mind sharing the costs for the same? My blue Ciaz has similar pug marks created by street dogs and few scratches as a result of my carelessness and I'm thinking of visiting him on the weekend.

Thanks. For each door he charged INR 2000, which to me appeared to be very reasonable considering that he guarantees paint match till your satisfaction.

You can also try Motoring 65 on Golf Course Extension. They have a full scale paint booth and recently did my Polo. Reasonable at 2200-2500 per panel in a paint booth.

Re: Paint & Mechanical Work - Heera Motors (Sukhrali, Gurgaon)

After reading all the good reviews I thought of giving him a try, I came down from Delhi specially for good paint quality and finish I was thoroughly disappointed.

I spoke to him couple of times before giving the car, I would say it was all nice talks and poor results.

I gave him my Celerio for boot and bumper paint, was in touch with Sonu after initial discussion with Heera.

I did not find the paint finish, quality, gloss, shine any better than 1000's of roadside shops all over NCR.

I have earlier experience with Raja Paints which has always been very good, it was my mistake to give him a try. Maybe Heera works better for recommended customers because the pictures in the thread speak differently. Thank God I did not give my second car to him as planned before the work.

Re: Paint & Mechanical Work - Heera Motors (Sukhrali, Gurgaon)

Although I’m not a painter, I am a professional detailer and reading these prices per panel all I can say is I’m surprised any shop can paint for so less and produce anything near acceptable results.

When you factor in the products used starting with multiple sand paper grits, primer, base coat, clear coat, heavy cut compounds and finally polishes (let alone the equipment like HVLP paint spray guns, IR lamps for curing, electric/pneumatic sanders) + the labour in terms of man hours needed for disassembly, stripping old paint, respraying multiple coats, baking, reassembly, sanding, compounding, polishing, their charges should be much, much higher if any kind of justice is to be done to the final outcome.

In the same light, would anyone know of any other high quality paint shop in Gurgaon? Asking for my own cars since Honda dealer body shops are terrible as are the road sides ones I’ve seen till now, price is not a criteria as long as their work is close to factory finish. Thanks.

Had a chance to visit Heera again, and came to know that he has purchased adjacent shop too, and will be very soon opening a detailing shop there.

For the HONDA CITY which brand of primer, paint and top coat was used.
I am sorry, I know it is some time but would like to know as I like to do a paint job on my Honda city.

Also if any information on paint brand and quality used on inside, like metal under the fender, inside of the boot area, in passenger compartment
