What i got done?

The front fender of my flamenco red fiat linea got damaged. so i had to get it repaired and repainted. so i went to some of the painters i knew in south delhi area. the average price quote was between 2000-2500. a bit bargaining and this gentleman offered me the services for 2200. i was pretty happy with the quote as he promised me to get the car vacuumed and touch up all other small dents on the vehicle. on seeing the TEAM-BHP sticker, he even told me that a few of our members have visited him before.

sir, the pleasure is all mine. an update- i have sent my fiesta to kja for body work. i'll soon post the pics, estimate and the things i am getting done. for now i can just tell that the estimate is of around 15,000.

How long will it take them to referbish my Civic (I just bought it pre-owned)? I have a few dings/dents/scratches almost everwhere on my car! I am asking such stupid question since I am not a resident of delhi and I want my work to be done professionally as well as efficiently.

P.S. @ S.I.N.G.H: Your Linea looks as if nothing happened to it!

EDIT: Just called the workshop and had a talk with Mr. Augustine, elder brother of Mr. Christopher. Seemed to be a nice person to deal with. I will take my car to them tomorrow and lets see what do they have to offer! I will keep you all posted.

for my linea, it took them two days, as i took the car back home after the putty was done. and for my fiesta, it took them 4 days as there was a lot of work, something similar to yours. the running board was also damaged. now the 6 year old car looks as good as new!

KJ's garage in on the back side of Ajit Arcade and not on the main road. The place has a number of shops dealing in automobile stuff. On one corner in Universal tyres, and KJ in located in the alley right behind Universal tyres.

Nearest landmark would be:

1. Coming from Moolchand side - LSR college (college on your left and Blue Bells School on your right)

2. Coming from Nehru Place - Kailash colony metro station. Ajit Arcade is approx 200 yards ahead on the main road.

greetings to all my fellow bhpians.

here i am posting the pics of my grandfather's car (ford fiesta 1.6) which is about 5-6 years old. its exteriors we not in a very good shape so i decided to get it repaired. i again approached KJ Antony Automobiles. and as before, they didn't let me down. i had got the following work done from there-

1. front bumper repaint
2. rear bumper repaint
3. front fender (left and right) repair and repaint
4. running board repair and repaint (left side)
5. dry denting on the bonnet
6. installation of parking sensors

total expenditure was about 15,000.

the pictures shown of the car are before the repair was done. i'll post the pictures of the final work soon!

note- the number plate hasn't been blacked out as the car belongs to the family.

@Singh: Could you please share the paintjob cost only (i.e. without the parking sensor) and after-paint pics. We got our petrol swift repainted (one side) recently and the final bill was somewhere around 18k. Looking at the kind of job this fiesta demanded 15k is a very competitive price.

@fine69- ok sir. i'd do that. the best part of the paintjob is that the kind of products used. dupont, 3m, etc. the actual cost came out to be something around 13.5k. i got a roots horn, mud flaps installed which added to the cost. i'll soon post the pictures of the paintjob very soon.
