Re: DIY : Dismantling Fiesta headlamp & Painting the shrouds

Great DIY mayankk. Love the black shrouds.

Now, I am so etched to try it on our Swift. But not very comfortable with the idea of prying open the transparent cover.

How good is the fit with silicone sealant?

Yes, because Aerosol's need to be shipped by Road transport.

Its the same as what the manufacturer would use, I presume.
Plus, any headlight guy I have seen working, they always use the same stuff.
I think you are good to go.
Go on, just 4 hours!!

I got the new Swift. And the headlights are BIG! So the bling from the chrome is little over the top.

And I will need to find that huge aluminium thing used to cook chhole for at least 1000 people.

But really would love to have black shrouds like the Swift Sport. It will look very smart indeed.

You could look for a headlight guy.
Borrow a heat gun/blower.

(Hair dryer does not work. )

Try and take the dimensions to a tent fellow, see if you can't get something.
Or wrap it cling film, see if you can't get a green house going.
