Upgraded my foglamps to 3000k HID last day. I had 6000k LED foglamps before and the output was very low. So I used that as daytime running lights.:D
These HIDs are bought from ebay and priced around 3500+ Rs (including customs duties and all). And thanks to bhpian Naveen Raju for suggesting 3000k HIDs. Here are some pictures.

Awesome DIY dude. Glad you got to find 3000k HID's. I'm sure that this thread will be useful for others as it's very difficult to find 3000k HID's here. Installation could be quite tricky when compared to headlight installation right? You are one DIY expert dude. Waiting for your next DIY project.

I see two exposed leads attached to both the bulbs in the first pic containing the bulbs. Where will these exposed leads go into?
Did you use a relay and a H8 wiring harness or direct plug and play?

Those are input leads. I already had a relay wiring. For 55W hids, it would be better if we use a relay. Or go for the 35W one if you need a plug and play setup.

Naveen, why not take it a step further by using Projectors in the fog lights. With the amount of dispersed light the HID bulbs on reflectors produce, Would it not be better to go for a Projector setup which will focus all the light with a sharp cutoff. Something like
this.

I dont have plans of installing projectors. Maybe, Arjun can take a look at this. The reason why many stay away from this is becuase fogs are easily prone to damages since it's almost level to the road. Flying stones, occasional dogs/cats running around the road can easily damage this. Provides better results though.

Yeah that's the reason. BTW, this is my second set of foglamps and it needs to be replaced now because of one such 'dog' as Naveen said. lol:

ACMohan, I am aware of such trauma the fog light is subjected to and hence suggested these fog lamps in the link above. These are sealed units and are water proof. TRS also has a set of such fog lights. IMHO, if properly fabricated, it would look amazing on the bumper you currently have. Check out the Sonata's fog lights.
