Hi Gannu, I bought the same BCM from the same supplier after reading your thread. |
Hey! Glad to see you retrofitted the BCM yourself. Congrats! :)
What's next? Cruise control?

Did you ever manage to fix the issue with the park lamps? Have the same problem so would love to know if you found a solution. |
Nope, I haven't resolved that issue. Like I said, you need to connect 2 terminals from the BCM to the headlight switch to get rid of the error.
But the problem is, the terminals to be inserted in the BCM connector is different from the usual ones. I have to source them sometime and do this.

There's another issue I've got as well, mine is a 2011 April Polo 1.6 with the face-lift steering installed. The buttons on the left (for the board computer) don't work at all. Everything else, including the illumination and phone button, work fine. Any advice on what I could do to get them to work?
I have the following installed:
- 2015 BCM (Same as yours)
- Facelift MFSW
- RCD510 (Delphi) + 9W2
- OPS (Rear) |
What is the right stalk you have on yours and what was the previous steering you had? Please share the images.

AFAIK, all the buttons on the wheel work through a single LIN Bus line. So if one of them works, they all should. From a hardware perspective at least. |
Absolutely correct. But if your right stalk has the TRIP and the OK/RESET buttons which your new steering already has, there's a clash there and you will need to disable the buttons on the stalk for the ones on the steering to work.
Can you please pry open the top part of the steering column trim and click an image of the stalks module?
You can pry them with your bare hands as I've mentioned
here.
The right stalk is the one that came with my car and has the TRIP/OK buttons
This is the steering that came with the car (from the T-BHP review, not my actual car):
This is a picture of my stalks module
And just for reference, this is my current steering and cluster.

Alright thanks for that!
So let me get this straight, on your new steering wheel, you can get all the buttons working except the menu browsing buttons (those on the either side of the OK button), the OK button and the up/down buttons, correct?
If yes, this is because the ones on your right stalk is interfering with the steering wheel buttons.
From my understanding, you can remove the corresponding terminals from the T41 connector (the ones that connects to the stalk) to resolve it. Let me check from ELSAWIN which are those. Give me some time. Thanks!
Yup! That's right. Everything but the menu buttons work.
And as for your question about adding Cruise Control, I don't think I'll be doing it. This car has probably left the city limits only once or twice in (almost) 5 years!
I'm one of those unfortunate people who got a highline with only front power window switches (high current, not connected to the BCM). I'm trying to see if I can add the 4 switch module next (again, high current).
I've been contemplating getting the GTI cluster as well but I wasn't sure if its worth the money, and maybe the euro spec tail lights.
I have done some other mods which I hadn't mentioned earlier.
OEM
- VW Lowering Springs
- Facelift Gear Knob
- Roof lamp with individual reading lamps / bluetooth mic
- Some VCDS Tweaks
- Sport Pedals
Non OEM
- 17"x8J Wheels (215/40R17)
- Yellow fog lamps
- LED roof lamp bulbs (Osram)
- Osram Nightbreaker H/L bulbs
Thanks a lot for all the help!

Woah
MSP9994, all these mods and not even a single picture, let alone an ownership report on the forum ? :Shockked:
I know you have been busy sorting issues out with your steering wheel buttons issue with BCM upgrade, but considering the fact that Gannu has taken up this case, the resolution is just on the horizon!! clap:
Please post some pictures of the mods at least buddy, if not the "Mandatory" Buying & Ownership report.
I'm not really in the habit of taking pictures so I don't really have too many to post.
I'm also a terrible photographer and all these were taken with my phone.
Here are the only ones I've taken. No interior shots, sorry.
The pictures really don't do justice to the car.
Hi,
The part number of the BCM in the Vehicle is 6RU 937 086 H.
I can see a 6RU 937 087 H in olx.
Any idea if i can use this ?

Confirm if there are additional pins for the cruise control on this module as I've explained in the first post. Shouldn't end up like the 087 F BCM.
What is the donor vehicle?

Hey buddy, I'm in the same boat as you :(
Highline Polo 1.6 with only front power window switches. I sourced the 4 switch module but then realized the wiring and connector was different. Please do let me know if you've figured out how to connect it.

Still haven't got down to doing this. Did you take a picture of the connector on the harness side by any chance? An do you know how many wires are on the connector?

Yeah I've posted some pics here:

I have some more pics if required. I think it's better to continue the discussion in the topic I linked above :)
Hi Gannu,
Another VW Polo owner Aza wants to know if just by changing the stalks the mfd functions will work? Mine was a similar version ( only in the fabia) and the stalks enabled many more functions. He just wants to be certain before taking the plunge. Here's a pic of his existing cluster on his VW Polo 2015 trendline.
Any help will be helpful.
Cheers,
Aayush

Hi Aayush, yes it should work but please ask him to check if the relevant wires from the stalks' T41 connector to the cluster are in place before he takes the plunge on the new set of stalks.
Makes sense! Thanks a lot! Will let him know.
Finally, I have bumped at the right thread and of course the right person. I own a Polo Comfortline 1.2P and a Highline 1.5D, both are 2015 cars. Here is my list of doubts:
- Is it possible to get gear shift indication, refill amount for fuel tank etc activated in the MID of Comfortline using just the VCDS?
- Highline has the cornering lights where the fog lamp gets enlightened with the indication, can that be activated in comfortline by using only VCDS?
- Can I install the automatic climate control module in comfortline? Someone told me that it's a direct plug and play.
- Do comfortline and highline come with same BCM? If yes, then, is it possible to install the highline steering wheel on comfortline? I can install the steering wheel as well as stalks from highline itself, will they make the steering mounted controls work perfectly?
- I am planning to install the new head unit, the one that comes in new polo '6RD035187'; if I install this one in comfortline and highline both, what issues can I expect to face?
