DIY: Exhaust muffler cleaning & coating

Well, thought it was about time to do a quick silencer maintenance care. Unlike the Dealers who just spray some paint on the silencer, this DIY involves several processes.

The Silencer was dirty and rusted in several places,

First Step
1) Silencer as is removed fresh from the car. You can see how dirty and rusted it is.

Next Step is to Remove and Clean the Silencer from Rust and Dirt.
I used a Rust Converter, Metal Brush and a regular Tooth brush for this process.

Following pics after using a Rust Converter / Remover.

After letting it dry and cleaning it once again, we coated this with some high temp Silver Paint.

This was the Final Outcome of the Silencer - Next major Step fixing it back to the car.

Good work, any images of the product that you used for removing rust?

And, how did you manage to remove and re-fix the exhaust muffler without a ramp? That could be a DIY thread on its own
