Idemitsu, LiquiMoly, Total, etc are brands which I will get without battling an eyelid. If you can source Castrol directly from a good distributor (as there are many fakes around), then add that to the list too.

Thanks Saket. Is there any way to spot fakes of Castrol? And are there fakes of other brands you mentioned?

If I have to buy Castrol, I'd head straight to a genuine distributor. Rest of the brands are kind of lesser known ones for a layman and hence, chances of fakes are less. So, you may try either online from sites like Amazon (& Amazon fulfilled sellers) or from a good shop in your city. Or you can even get one from Maruti Auth. service center. I believe they sell over the counter. Just make sure the grade suits your vehicle.
