Re: Best and easy way in removing the after market chrome stickers

I'm guessing you are referring to badges/ monograms that are usually glued to the paint.

A popular DIY method is by using a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the glue and use fishing line to remove them , best to do it a few letters at a time and sustain the heat.

This may often leave glue residue on the paint that needs to be removed using a rubbing compound/diesel whichever works on that glue. You should be good by now.

Please remember to save the monograms, you will need them later while selling the car.

If they are aftermarket, then just wait a couple of years. They'll peel off themselves

But if want to remove them immediately, use a hair dryer to heat the sticker behind the chrome and slowly peel them off as the gum loosens at the edges. Once the piece is off, use WD-40 to remove any residual gum. Spray and wait for a couple of minutes and then slowly wipe/scrape it off with your fingers.

Note that there will be a difference in the paint colour because the part under the sticker would not have been exposed to the elements.

Re: Best and easy way in removing the after market chrome stickers

Judicious use of heat gun (be sure not to strip off paint) to loosen the adhesive, twine string to take off the lettering, and a solvent (diesel / goo gone / wd 40) to remove the glue residue did the trick for me.
For stickers, use a plastic blade in place of the twine string.

I use GooGone. It's the best way to remove stickers. I see its available in India, on Amazon.

Looks like a perfect Gangsta car now pavi

Somehow, I just love An All Black Sedan with a glossy finish. I think, the only thing that is probably sticking out are the headlights.

You may probably want to smoke/tint it up to complete the look.

It has been like this for 2+ years now, completed 4.5 years and 75,000+ kms (mine is i-vtec SV MT). Just saw this thread now, hence uploaded the pics. I may go for smoking taillights, but I am not sure about the headlights.

Looks good. IMO the car would look better if you remove that chrome lip (I hope it’s chrome) on the bottom of the hatch.

Looks really good. Can you please share how you did the rear? Also, mine is the red colour. Any suggestions on what to do for the grille?

Some good thread to remove the decals and a sweating session with Amway silicon glaze polish to remove the glue residue. There would be a better option to remove the glue which other members might have tried.

Regarding the grille, I think it would be better not to touch it. I am not able to imagine how it looks if gloss black painted. May be you should try some trial and error cases with photoshop.
