I find it so amazing that the guy went out and did this job at 3000 euros. The desire and his effort is well appreciated and I am sure will shortly get noticed and take him places ( if not already )

If you can't have the original, for heaven's sake, don't go around in counterfeits! Not only has he destroyed the charm of his Mercedes, but he doesn't really have a Rolls Royce either. Only a fool will mistake the car for a Rolls. Thumbs down.

Well done to the creators. C'mon GTO, we have just one life. Live it to the fullest. They know they cant or may never be able to own these ridiculously priced cars. Why not enjoy them in their own way? Theres passion in their work and sometimes you gotta do that little silly thing to keep the spark of life bright.
Wheres the fun element in you if you drive a well restored w124? Well it all depends on your age and persona but image taking the Phantom downtown hell yeah!

I agree with GTO to an extent. Check the thread of a guy who recently bought a Corvette in US. The guy bought a second hand because his budget was restricted but he did buy a Corvette.
IMHO we should not make imitations (lets leave that to Chinese) of another car. Try giving your car its own identity. I'm working on sprucing my M800 & will shortly start the project. Keep watching.

GTO, the guy wanted a RR phantom so he tried his creative best with the finances at his disposal. Then it doesn't matter if what he previously owned was a Merc or a BMW (or any other). Even if fake, its a decent attempt.

Haha, exactly the point of the car. People are gonna have a good time looking at it. And im sure a guy who can come up with this concept is the kind who can laugh at himself. And have a good time Thats what I meant by live life to the fullest.
I dont think he claims it to be an original and almost anyone interested in cars can make out but its not like he did it to show the world that he 'owns' a "Phantom". Its about the design and the cheap thrills one gets when driving around in something as 'exclusive' if I may call it, as his car. Its simply Phantom inspired.

There are lot of "replica" kits out there. If all the world thinks "live original" that would't be the case.

Guys the piracy market for any product you name it is HUGE!
Forget these guys who have put in a lot of effort and rightly get my ,
there are two BMW 5series' in South Bombay itself which have put on m5 kits. To top it off one even has the M5 badging at the back. Now look at that, a guy spends over 50lakhs for his car but still wants it to be something else he desires but cannot afford.

well i didnt realise that the hummer was a fake one. not bad. I guess the guy who did the phantom could have used an S class for a little longer look, then the side profile would have been fine. Old thread but still good job!
