Not totally correct the 1.5 star NCAP(accent) is for the older model which was not sold in India the first Accent that came in India was the second generation Accent whose crash test is not in the euroncap database.

The closest thing I found to it is this which gives the second generation Accent more than double the points over the first generation. That said its still unlikely that a car doing 120-130kph in a similar circumstance without airbags and seatbelts safety would do any better.

As for the engine intrusion inside the cabin the angle of impact might have played a big role since the firewall is not very high.
