So glad to hear every one is safe! Looks like a major hit - I'm relieved to see that just because a car looks like this post an accident, it doesn't mean that the occupants were gravely hurt - seen so many wrecks like this on most highways.

Great escape Shishir. Feels good to know that you all escaped with minor injuries.

And also feel sad for your lovely car which was in pristine condition before the hit.

I think you will have to scrap the car, right?

All the best and again, thank your lucky stars!! You have already visited your place of worship from your earlier posts. So put this incident behind you, come out of it and get back to your driving days. Hope to see you back in action and many more safe miles on the highway!!
P.S - Please ensure as and when your time and health permits that the lorry driver does not escape with a tap on the wrist. Drag the owner to the court as well for hiring such an errant driver and do not let them off easily.
thanks abhinav, I have taken care of this by putting a case in the court

you are right. If the car has good safety features then nothing much will happen.

Wow Shishir_bn!

You are at the same time quite unfortunate and VERY lucky!

Glad to hear you were all wearing seatbelts! Things might have been very different otherwise.

Also - i'm sure you're actions played a great part in reducing the impact of this accident

I'm not very good with this stuff -- but doesn't a FIR typically have to be lodged a max of 24-48hrs after the incident?

God! Wish you and your family a speedy recovery. That Car is Truly an Angel. Such impacts are usually disastrous, And in this case The Car has taken it completely. Those pics of your angel in that condition brought a tear to my eye, Friend. That Car has done its duty (Saved You). Pray to God, That Lorry Driver be punished for this deed. Take Care, keep updating the thread.

Drive Safe.

Rehaan, FIR was lodged on the same day itself. That is why the driver was arrested and given bail the next day. The rest of the papers like RTO IMV,Spot mahajir and other court documents I gave them yesterday by going to Shimoga

Frankly speaking we were not in shock. After the accident within 2 secs I got up and saw my kid and wife standing and talking so I was relieved.I got the shock yesterday when I went to that place to get the car back.

glad you made it out buddy, and wishing you and your family a speedy recovery.

I guess your father really loved the car, it's sad to see it go this way - I can understand his pain.

cheers
