That's one beautiful car. 0-100 in 2.8 seconds is supercool!

What is equally interesting is how a small but passionate team can design and develop something that matches and even trumps efforts from bigger established players.

Rimac Automobili has progressed from strength to strength over the years, and the Rimac Concept One shot to fame when Richard Hammond crashed one on The Grand Tour.

In the following 38-minute video, CEO of Rimac Automobili, Mate Rimac talks about the evolution of the car and the company, the tech that makes the Concept one so special, what the company does apart from building the Concept One, and the future of electric automobiles in general. It is a mesmerizing presentation, and well worth listening to, if only to get a superb overview of how & when the world can expect to go fully electric (and what the other options are).

Just yesterday I was surfing for the fastest electric car and the Rimac was one of them. I happened to see a few videos including one of Hammond driving it against an Aventador and the NSX. The Rimac absolutely smoked the other two by a hugeeeee margin. Video of the same below-

Saw a couple of other videos too and I was stunned by the acceleration this beast has. Apparently its the Tesla Roadster which will be the fastest when launched in 2020 but at present, this one surely makes a very good case.

The videos are worth watching. I would say, its a new breed of supercar in the making.

The jet age of automobile industry is electric. What happened to piston powered planes will happen to automobiles. I agree with Hammond
