Did they already charge your card for the booking amount?

Tesla's Model 3 is just 3- 4 months away from reveal - Elon Musk

Skip to around the 11:15 mark for the Model 3 question.

re: The Tesla Model 3, a $35,000 sedan. EDIT: Specs revealed & deliveries begin

Over 400,000 people placed a deposit for the Model 3 without having seen the real steering controls of the car and while it’s unconfirmed, other parts of the interior could change due to the minimal features displayed in the prototypes unveiled so far.

The minimal design of the Model 3 interior has never been more evident than in a new picture of the interior cabin in daylight.

Quite confused on what exactly is going on here?!

A electric car as reliable as a Tesla surely wouldn't require an extensive dealer network. If I am right e2o in U.K. Comes to your place for any service requirement. Surely Tesla can have same Setup for India, covering Top 5-8 cities at start

re: The Tesla Model 3, a $35,000 sedan. EDIT: Specs revealed & deliveries begin

First pictures of TESLA MODEL 3 prototype, exteriors could be tweaked a bit in the final version but interiors would have a bigger change.
Final version is expected by 2017 March.

Quote:
but the interior could be the big surprise. Whatever it ends up looking like, it’ll definitely have that large horizontal display, but whether it’ll be floating above the dashboard as demonstrated by this prototype or integrated into the center console is still up for debate

Tesla To Start Pilot Production Of Model 3 On February 20.
Quote:
The sources did not know how many of the highly anticipated vehicles Tesla aimed to build in February, but it would likely be a small number to test the assembly system and the quality of vehicle parts.
Quote:
Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) will shut down production at its California assembly plant for a week this month to prepare for production of its high-volume Model 3 sedan, moving the company closer to meeting its target to start production in July.
Quote:
This will allow Tesla to begin Model 3 production later this year as planned and enable us to start the ramp towards 500,000 vehicles annually in 2018.

re: The Tesla Model 3, a $35,000 sedan. EDIT: Specs revealed & deliveries begin

If its going to be summer 2017, then they must be launching Model S and Model X. Model 3 is not yet fully revealed and deliveries are expected by the end of 2017 in US. I am guessing it will be 2019 before we see Model 3 here in India.

Indian government should come up with a proper plan for fully electric vehicles. It cannot be 110% taxes for CBU electric vehicles like other cars. Govt need to make its 10-20% for CBU electric imported vehicles. They can setup a limit for each manufacturer, say for example up to 20,000 vehicles only. It will encourage the manufacturers to explore setting up assembly units here.

Most of my friends in U.S have booked this car. I think premium car makers will have a dent in their sales if Tesla can keep up with the numbers without too much waiting period.
